POIdo: Groupon on Wheels or Another Convergence of Outsourcing and Innovation Story in Russia

In 2003, a recent MBA grad, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, I was implementing my business plan which I developed during the entrepreneurship course at London Business School.

GoalEurope was set up to offer outsourcing advice to western companies looking for software development outsourcing in eastern Europe. I have signed up a number of companies to be in my supplier network. One of them was NTR Lab whose cofounder and CEO Nick Mikhailovky told me all sorts of interesting stories about neutral networks when I first met him in his office in Moscow in 2003.

POIdo at the CRDF Global Travel Grant Program

Nick Mikhailovsky will represent POIdo at the Technology Entrepreneurship and Development Program (TEDP) on March 11-27, 2011. POIdo, ePythia and Pirate Pay were awarded the CRDF Global Technology Entrepreneurship Development Program Travel Grant at the October 2010 Technology Entrepreneurship Workshop in Moscow, Russia. During the visit the winners will go through series of training and coaching sessions and will participate in SXSW Trade Show featuring presentations of the best new digital works. Beginning in Austin, Texas and continuing in Arlington, Virginia, the travel will end in Silicon Valley, California, where grantees will particiapte in the Global Technology Symposium, the leading investment conference venture capital, technology and entrepreneurship in emerging markets.
